The Goal

The City University of Hong Kong hosted ‘CityU Employers’ Luncheon 2023’ in March 2023, the first one since 2019, which aimed to strengthen the bonding of the partnership between the institution’s academic members and corporations, driving a deeper understanding of CityU’s educational philosophy and latest developments, while showcasing the outstanding talents and extraordinary results among students.

 

The Strategy

From planning, liaising with participating parties, production to flow management, Voltage X organised the luncheon from scratch, and provided full PR services, including guest reception, while inviting various media to the event, which boosted online and offline exposure to reinforce the institution’s image.

 

 

The Result

With almost 500 participants, including nearly 300 employers from over 200 enterprises that consisted of management personnels from multinational corporations and organisations, 200 CityU members had the opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs, industry pioneers and professionals, hence deepening their understanding towards market demands and development trends, which consolidates their future endeavours in employment and entrepreneurship.

Sustainable Finance Initiative

In May 2023 Sustainable Finance Initiative (SFi) hosted its inaugural Asian Family Impact Summit with the goal to convene Asia’s leading family offices and modern wealth owners in the impact space, to explore ways to accelerate the impact investing movement.

Voltage X took part in the event branding of SFi’s Asian Family Impact Summit. The event logo design embraces the modern & traditional Asian wisdom of wealth management through a modernised symbol of a copper coin (銅錢). The event logo also symbolizes Asian hand-in-hand (人) to bring impact together.

Apart from event branding, Voltage X helped build an event website that beautifully presents all essential information about the event. We also assisted in design adaptation to event collaterals.

As one of the fastest-growing universities in the world over the past decade, City University of Hong Kong (CityU) is recognized as a hub for innovation in research and professional education. CityU Employers’ Luncheon 2023 was successfully held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, presenting an exceptional occasion for members of the community to learn more about the talent and achievements of CityU students in person.

 

After a three-year hiatus, the return of the CityU Employers’ Luncheon this year was a resounding success, with nearly 500 participants, including close to 300 representatives from over 200 enterprises, and 200 faculty members and students of CityU. This made it an excellent opportunity to strengthen connections and collaboration among CityU academics, students, and enterprises, which enabled the students to better understand the latest market needs and trends while laying the foundation for their future employment and entrepreneurship development.

Voltage X took part in planning, third-party liaison, implementation, and execution of events, offering a wide range of services for events.  Voltage X team also involved in handling event management on-site as well as VIP and media receptions. Weave Co-Living is a leading co-living company in Asia. In response to the rising property prices and unaffordable high rents for youngsters across Asia, Founder and CEO Sachin Doshi established Weave Co-Living to alleviate their living pressure with the aspiration to provide them a home with a decent, stylish, comfortable and reasonably-priced living environment where they can live independently.

   


Strategy

Weave launched its second co-living community in Hong Kong – Weave on Baker in 2019. Voltage X adopted a Tailored Media Strategy approach for Weave on Baker as it is more than just a co-living space, it is also a community for art and culture supporters. As their PR Agency, Voltage X curated a list of creative PR angles and tailored a target media list for the launch of the project. Voltage X provided press release write up services as well as media pitching services. Voltage X also invited media and lifestyle KOLs for a complimentary stay at Weave on Baker to fully experience the community and activities.

 


Key Result

As a result of Voltage X strategies, more than 30 media publications attended the media launch event including but not limited to media from business, property and lifestyle sectors. Three lifestyle KOLs enjoyed the complimentary stay and total social media exposure of over 75K in reach and 2K in likes was gained.

As emigration is a hot topic in Hong Kong recently, Voltage X had a vision to create a new platform about emigrating overseas and content related to overseas living. This platform aims to attract individuals and families who are ready and interested to emigrate overseas and give them access to tips and information as well as advertisements for overseas properties.

Strategy

Seeing as this is a Voltage X project, Voltage X provides full digital marketing services inclusive of setting up of social media platforms, social media account management including Facebook management and Instagram management, social advertising, content creation and campaign management.

   

 

Key RESULT

Voltage X successfully increased the following from target audiences for both Facebook & Instagram. Engagement rate is also high, even without ad boosting and getting advertisers.

Located in Central, TOPFIT is a premier fitness space in Hong Kong offering an elite, curated experience that delivers on its promise: results, support, camaraderie, community and fun.

  


Strategy

Voltage X designed a GIF game campaign titled ‘#FingerHomicide’ in order to bring about exposure to TOPFIT’s brand. The title of the campaign aligned with one of TOPFIT’s classes on offer called Leg Homicide. This campaign was launched to target potential TOPFIT customers, the attraction was a giveaway of a free protein shake. The idea behind the campaign was that whoever participated in the GIF game and won a prize of the free protein shake giveaway, had to redeem the protein shake at TOPFIT’s gym in Central and if they also purchased a membership package, they had a chance of winning 1 year free membership at TOPFIT.

 


Key Result

As a result, the #FingerHomicide giveaway campaign reached over 50 thousand users and the total engagement rate was over 3 thousand, resulting in more conversions and more foot traffic, as over 177 people joined the GIF Game.

Green Is the New Black

After a successful launch in 2018, The Conscious Festival by Green Is the New Black (GITNB) returned to Hong Kong in 2019. The theme for Green Is The New Black 2019 was all about veganism and zero waste production. This was an event for people who wanted to improve the way they lived, consumed, worked and travelled while doing more good in the world. A place where fun and social environmental responsibility go hand-in-hand.

   

 

Strategy

Having worked with Green Is The New Black for their launch festival in 2018 and working with them on their second annual event, Voltage X set out to obtain exposure for its stakeholders and participants. Both lifestyle and F&B KOLs were invited to the event to maximise and boost online exposure for this meaningful annual festival. The 2-day event featured more than 80 mindful brands and 60 speakers from all over the world as the festival focuses heavily on media exposure strategies.

 


Key Result

As a result, 170 media clippings were secured from the press release. 11 high-exposure KOLs attended the festival and the overall likes and reach from their posts were 7,000 and 300k respectively. The event was also publicised on Voltage X’s social media accounts and eDM database.
