The goal

Hong Kong joined eggslut’s network in June 2023, after Japan and Korea. Voltage X was invited to take charge of PR events for their grand opening.

 

The Strategy

To generate public interest towards eggslut, Voltage X invited media outlets to visit eggslut’s stores, uncovering their cooking process.

We also planned and carried out the opening ceremony by inviting various media, providing on-site backup and writing both Chinese and English press releases, securing media coverage and public attention for the event.

 

 

The Result

Through the opening ceremony, eggslut have reached over 2,500 customers, while having received over 130 media coverages. Given the tremendous success, eggslut later invited us to take charge of their Christmas PR collaboration with Moët & Chandon.

THE GOAL

In September 2023, Negroni Week returned with Campari, Italy’s iconic aperitif. The global charity initiative aimed to raise funds for charities through a series of happenings with bars, restaurants, and retailers. Since its debut in 2013, Negroni Week has partnered with thousands of collaborators raising more than US $4 million across 80 regions globally. To promote cocktail culture while enhancing the public’s appreciation for mixology, the event consisted of various happenings and contests. Voltage X was appointed by Campari to publicise Negroni Week in Hong Kong, fostering public participation while ensuring wide media exposure of this extravaganza.

 

THE STRATEGY

To drive popularity for the event, Voltage X initiated several media visits to local bars and restaurants, learning about local mixologists’ recipes for Negroni, as well as the history and knowledge of mixology. Catering to the local demographics, our PR team localised global press releases for the local press. We also coordinated with guests and the media at the opening and provided on-site support at happenings.

 

 

THE RESULT 

With Voltage X’s dedication, the event received more than 60 coverages from 40 publications, achieving impressive results.

Barefoot, a US wine brand known for its famed “footprint” logo and colorful label design, is the world’s number one selling wine brand, guaranteeing the strength of the brand and the quality of the products. The brand strives to create wines of outstanding quality at affordable prices to satisfy consumers’ different preferences and make them easy to drink on all occasions.

Barefoot, as a partner of California Wine Month 2023, participated in the flagship event of Sips of Summer – “Music in the Vineyard” on July 8 to experience the wonderful combination of wine tasting and live music. At the same time, Barefoot can also be seen at tram stops around Hong Kong Island, promoting the brand and attracting more people to taste Barefoot’s California wines.

Voltage X designed a customized PR campaign for the promotion of Barefoot and the summer party essential, the Moscato Sangria cocktail recipe. In addition to crafting press releases and pitching to the media, Voltage X invited influential KOLs to create their own Moscato Sangria. Media coverages were gained in the project period with a total PR value of over $1 million. Coverage could be found on lifestyle media publications such as ELLE, Mingpao Weekly and HK01.

Sixes Hotpot specializes in a variety of Chinese and Hong Kong-style hot pot bases with over 70 carefully selected ingredients, creating a private hot pot experience for diners! The restaurant’s name derives from the Cantonese homonym of “淥” and carries auspicious connotations of family harmony and happiness in Chinese culture. With one of the owners hailing from Henan Province and having resided in Hong Kong for over a decade, the restaurant embodies the warm hospitality and culinary traditions of both regions. Embracing the popular sidewalk dining culture, the restaurant aims to provide patrons with a cozy and harmonious atmosphere to savor their meals.

Sixes Hotpot offered a limited time summer discount for the month of August 2023. Customers spent HK$500 or more per person on Sundays and Tuesdays to Thursdays in August to receive discounts according to the prevailing temperature.

Voltage X assisted on formulating the marketing campaign that aims to create a new PR angle for promoting Sixes Hotpot. Besides, a bespoke PR campaign for Sixes Hotpot is also curated in order to create public awareness of the summer offer of Sixes Hotpot.

Johnnie Walker, one of the oldest and most internationally well-known whisky brands was looking to revitalise its online presence within the HK market through creative and interactive content and campaigns.

 

Strategy

Voltage X organised and carried out a tactical influencer campaign which encompassed a 3-day bar-hopping event for the annual bartending competition – World Class. Lifestyle KOLs were invited to engage with the brand’s F&B partners as well as to broaden Johnnie Walker Hong Kong’s steadily growing fan base. To bring this global brand closer to the local target audience, Voltage X developed engaging and share-worthy social content to engage both Facebook and Instagram followers.

 

Key Result

As a result, by adapting the latest Instagram Stories interactive functions, we successfully raised the audience’s interest in the brand legacy and fun facts. Johnnie Walker Hong Kong’s Instagram followers grew over 35% and the Facebook posts reached over 170K target audience. We also examined Johnnie Walker’s target audience and purchasing behaviour, which were insightful for future digital strategy developments.

Founded in 2019 by proven forward-thinking entrepreneurs Matt Reid, Jonathan Yeoh and Malcolm Wood, best known for their hospitality group Maximal Concepts, KIN combines AI and automation to foster human connection through food and is the first food app to be purpose-built by restaurant owners.

 

 

Strategy

In order to build strong brand presence and exposure, seeing as they opened their first food hall in 2022 at Taikoo Place’s Devon House, Voltage X provided KIN with Digital Video Production services to showcase their efforts and their brand message to their target audience via their website and social platforms. Voltage X also provided content creatives and ideas generations for PR and digital campaigns, using approaches such as KOL tastings and media interviews and coverage to integrated online-offline digital campaigns to increase foot fall.

 

Key Result

We created unique storytelling video content for more than 10 of the resident restaurants at KIN Food Halls which launched on KIN’s website and KIN’s YouTube channel to let their target audience understand their vision, mission, beliefs and brand message.
